Antiquated bit functional facilities; lots of activities. My son likes his swimming lessons but family bathroom access is not clear.

Very disappointing experience at the Cambridge YMCA. The man working the front desk was rude, dismissive, and not helpful at all when I had simple questions. Instead of trying to assist, he acted irritated and made me feel unwelcome the entire time I was there. Customer service at the front desk sets the tone for the whole facility, and unfortunately this experience completely turned me off from coming back. I expected basic professionalism and courtesy, especially at a community-focused place like the YMCA, but that was not the case at all. Really hope management addresses how members and guests are treated.

Awesome place! Always have great workouts there. Yoga classes are very enjoyable as well. overall very good experience!

I tried this gym at one point for a full week trial. It does have the majority of all equipments and weights you need for a good pump. But with that being said I do think hygiene is a big issue, machines are old and rusty, the dumbbells are oddly shaped, and it is often super packed and long wait times could emerge. I discourage you visiting the men’s restroom for hygiene purposes too. Other than that, go in the morning when there is less traffic to get in a good workout.

Its a very decent YMCA all the staff are very kind, very approachable. Everything is on-line like schedules and classes makes it super easy to sign up. A bit more expensive than a regular gym so to get your money's worth definetly use the pool. You will be paying way to much if you go as a guest so definetly get a basic membership and add what you need to that. I went because it was very close to me on Mass Ave in Cambridge across from City Hall. Definetly worth a look! A half block from the 1 Bus and 2 blocks from the Central Square Red Line T Stop. Walk up Mass Ave and when you pass the large post office building you're almost there. Kind of easy to miss the YMCA the first time. Also there's a ramp entrance on the side. I was pleasantly surprised how nice they are at the YMCA
